Refund Policy

At Chemistry AI, we want users to be able to try the product with confidence. Our Free plan is intended as a trial, and we also offer paid subscriptions and one-time credit purchases for heavier use. This Refund Policy explains when a paid purchase may be refunded and how to request one.
1. Refund Eligibility
You may request a refund for a paid purchase if both of the following conditions are met:
- Time limit: your request is submitted within 24 hours of the original purchase or renewal charge
- Usage limit: your account has used 30 credits or fewer from that purchase during the eligible period
If either condition is not met, the purchase is generally not eligible for a refund.
2. What This Policy Applies To
The Free plan is available so users can test core features before upgrading.
- monthly subscriptions
- yearly subscriptions
- one-time credit purchases or exam packs
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at [email protected] and include:
- the email address used for your Chemistry AI account
- the order or billing email, if different
- the date of purchase
- a short explanation of the issue or reason for the request
We may ask for additional information if we need to verify the order.
4. Review and Processing
Once we receive your request, we will review:
- whether the request was submitted within the 24-hour window
- how many credits were used after the relevant purchase
- whether there is any sign of abuse, fraud, or policy evasion
If your refund is approved:
- the refund will be sent to your original payment method
- access to paid features associated with that purchase may be removed
- any unused credits granted by that purchase may be removed from your account
- if the refund applies to a subscription charge, the related subscription may also be canceled to prevent future billing
Refund timing depends on your payment provider, but most approved refunds appear within 5-10 business days.
5. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds are generally not available in the following situations:
- the request is made more than 24 hours after purchase
- more than 30 credits have been used after the purchase
- the purchase was made only to temporarily access paid features and then cancel after significant use
- the request is associated with abuse, fraud, chargeback manipulation, or repeated refund behavior
- the user does not provide enough information for us to verify the order
6. Subscription Cancellation
Canceling a subscription stops future renewals, but does not automatically create a refund for the most recent charge.
If you want a refund, you must contact us separately and your request must still meet the eligibility requirements in this policy.
7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue quickly.
If a chargeback or payment dispute is opened before contacting us, we may temporarily suspend access to paid features while the issue is reviewed.
8. Exceptional Cases
In rare cases, we may choose to review refund requests outside this policy at our sole discretion. Any exception does not create an ongoing obligation to issue refunds in similar future cases.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
